Help JL Mann Share the Magic
This Fall, the J.L. Mann Student Council and the remarkable student body will begin our week-long annual fundraising campaign called Spirit Week. Every year, we attempt to raise more and more money for impactful charities of Greenville.
This year, we have chosen TD SYNNEX Share the Magic, which is an initiative that supports A Child's Haven, Pendleton Place, Clement's Kindness, and Make-A-Wish South Carolina. Spirit Week encompasses a multitude of events for the J.L. Mann community to take part in to raise the most money possible and beat our rival school, Greenville High. With your help, we will be able to create a true impact for children in our community..
The four beneficiaries of Share the Magic are in desperate need of your help.
Money raised through Spirit Week will directly fund these beneficiaries' programs that are making a difference in the lives of children and families in need.
Nearly 1,000 children under the age of 5 in Greenville County suffer from abuse or neglect each year. $43,498 of Spirit Week funds will provide a year of therapeutic treatment for a child suffering from limited resources, abuse, or neglect at A Child's Haven.
In the 2019-2020 school year, 1,148 students in Greenville experienced homelessness. $39,095 of Spirit Week funds would provide 4,905 nights of care for young adults at Pendleton Place.
76% of families fighting childhood cancer have to reduce their work hours or leave their job. Clement's Kindness helps provide emergency funds to support 50 families with just $37,500.
Every 20 minutes, a child is diagnosed with a critical illness and Make-A-Wish South Carolina can fulfill the wishes of 5 children fighting such illnesses with $37,500.
